Word has reached me that hockey legend Gordie Howe has died.
He was 88 years old. While I am not the biggest Hockey fan, as a child I was shown video of Howe playing in his heyday. Being no expert I have to admit I didn't really understand it at the time, but I knew I was watching one of the top men in his field doing what he loved doing. Hats off for Number Nine, folks.My condolences to his family and friends.
